Treating your pets like family!

HOT NEWS!

Here are the latest happenings at All Creatures Animal Hospital...

Dr. Tudor Selected for Special Task Force

Our own Dr. Tudor has been invited to join six other experts in pet nutrition and weight management to develop special guidelines for veterinary hospitals worldwide. The American Animal Hospital Association or AAHA has asked this elite task force to draft guidelines that will help veterinarians to implement weight loss and weight management programs in their veterinary practices.

Dr. Tudor has spearheaded the pet weight loss and weight management program here at All Creatures Animal Hospital and looks forward to sharing his knowledge with veterinary colleagues.

If your pet is overweight, you might consider making an appointment for a fitness evaluation and weight loss program.

BELLA NEEDS YOUR HELP!!!

Here's our latest refugee that could really use some help. Bella is a sweet 6-year-old family dog with extremely severe "stones" in her urinary bladder that developed from an untreated chronic infection. Her condition is very curable with surgery and antibiotics, but her mom has been without a paycheck for almost a year due to the economic downturn. They simply cannot raise the funds to provide Bella with the surgery she desperately needs, which must happen SOON before she develops further potentially fatal complications. Without surgery, Bella's only alternative is humane euthanasia.

ACAH and Dr. Garlinghouse will donate the surgery, hospitalization and follow-up care if we can raise the $500 needed to cover our costs for drugs, antibiotics, anesthesia and supplies.

ROXY IS DOING WELL THANKS TO OUR ALL CREATURES FAMILY!

Roxy came in today for her two-week recheck and staple removal following surgery for severe hip dysplasia and she's doing great! Her owner (including best friend Garrett seen here) says she's much more comfortable and is walking, playing and even starting to run for the first time. Roxy and her owners were the victim of an unethical backyard breeder who bred and sold puppies severely compromised by this devastating congenital condition. Roxy desperately needed either surgery to relieve the pain in her non-functional hips, or humane euthanasia. Thanks to the generous donations of numerous friends and clients of the ACAH family, we were able to cover the drug and anesthesia costs for Roxy to get the care she needed. The actual surgery was performed at no charge by the very capable Dr. Ron Beeley, DVM, with the assistance of Dr. Susan Garlinghouse, DVM.

Want to score some personal karma points and help provide a couple bucks towards surgical or medical care for other animals like Roxy? Very often at ACAH, we're presented with pets that desperately need life-saving surgery or medical care, but whose owners have been hit hard by the current economic times (as are we all). Too often, we're left with no choice but to humanely euthanize the pet based on financial, rather than medical reasons. As often as we can, we'll donate the surgical time and facilities to save the pet, if we can gather a little help to cover the actual drug, anesthesia and surgical supply costs---which can still be significant. Such would have been the case for Roxy, had not dozens of friends chipped in the funds to save her and return her to her family a much happier, healthier dog.

KITTY KONDOS ARE  HERE!

Each Kondo will accomodate two cats and all three may be joined together to board the entire family!  The Kondos have special video programs for your feline friends featuring insects, birds, rodents, and other moving objects that fascinate cats.  The Kondos are especially good for boarding cats with chronic conditions or that have need for frequent medication, but all are welcome who desire the more home-like ambiance than our traditional hospital accomodations.  Please stop-by and take a tour!

WELCOME DOCTOR TUDOR!

WE WANT YOUR PET PHOTOS!

You have probably noticed our Reception Room LCD monitor showing all of your favorite pet photos in a continuous slide show.  This system has been extremely popular with our clients.  We also have a photo album here on the new website.  If you would like to add your animal companions to the slide show and photo album, please send a jpg file to information@allcreaturesanimalHEALTH.com, or bring by a photo and we will scan it and return it to you.
