SEE OUR NEW FELINE WAITING AND EXAM ROOMS!
The new Cat and Small Mammal Waiting and Exam Rooms are here! The old Reception is now only for dogs, while the new room is limited to cats and small mammals. The new Feline Exam Room is segregated from the dogs, giving our feline patients a less stressful stay. We have also added a Children's Waiting Area to make it easier for clients who have the kids along for the trip. Coming soon will be expanded feline boarding with kitty condos and a open playroom. We hope that you enjoy these changes and make your visits as easy for you and your pets as possible. Stop by for a cup of coffee and a tour!
DISCOUNTED DENTALS ON WEDNESDAYS.
Poor dental hygiene is one of the most common and most treatable afflictions we see in pets. What many owners do not realize is that a bad smile and smelly breath are not the worst result of tooth decay. The bacterial infection goes directly to many internal organ systems, especially the heart. So, bad teeth can cause a heart-attack!
Unfortunately, unlike human patients, our companion animals cannot be given a shot of Novacaine and told to "hold still" while the dental services are performed. Pet dental work requires the same full anesthesia protocol as any other major surgery. This makes dental cleaning an expensive proposition.
The current reality is that we are in an uncertain economy and while the human-animal bond remains strong, maintaining your pet's health is still a balancing act between a high standard of care and your ability to pay for that care. Rather than compromise the standard of care we have worked hard to attain here at All Creatures Animal Hospital, we are implementing a program that assists with the economic side of the equation.
Should your pet be recommended dental services, we are offering a "flat-rate" for routine dental cleaning on Wednesdays. In order to provide these services in a cost-effective manner, certain restrictions apply:
The flat-fee applies to routine dental cleanings ONLY, whatever the level of tartar.
Routine cleaning does not include tooth extractions, if required. Such extractions will be at an additional charge.
The patient must be dropped-off at the Hospital by 7:00 pm on Tuesday evening in order for the preanesthetic lab work to be accomplished in time. (No additional fee for the overnight board.)
Routine cleanings flat-rate charge only applies to healthy animals between the ages of 2 years and 8 years. Older animals usually require more extensive work for an additional charge.
Any animals having systemic problems, such as kidney or liver issues, will not be given the flat-rate charge as additional testing and treatment may be required.
The flat-rate charge for routine dental cleanings on Wednesdays is $300.00 for each patient meeting all of the above criteria. We hope this rate will assist in giving pet owners a viable option for obtaining the dental cleaning required to keep their pets in the best of health.
PET INSURANCE TO ASSIST IN THE ECONOMIC DOWN-TURN
As your pets age, the possibility that they will need extensive veterinary care to maintain their life-styles increases significantly. With the many other financial pressures bearing on our clients, pet healthcare may be forced to a lower priority. To protect your pets, we highly recommend pet health insurance. For lower monthly premiums, you may obtain coverage to pay for any unexpected veterinary expenses. Ask us today or review the insurance information on our Links page.
